I am so excited to share this amazing project with you. The McNichol Early Childhood Lab at Drexel University is embarking on a groundbreaking play research study led by Sarah Kuser and Dr. Michael Haslip. As a research assistant volunteering with this fab team, I'm thrilled to share an incredible opportunity for you to actively contribute to advancing early childhood education through play!
The study that focuses on enhancing and measuring children's play skills, with the aim of validating a play assessment tool. This tool, once validated, will serve as a valuable resource for early childhood educators, making play more accessible and evidence-based in real classrooms.
Here's your chance to be a part of this research initiative! The study is actively seeking participants – early childhood educators who work with children between birth and age five. As a volunteer, you'll receive FREE training designed to help you:
Identify play skills in children.
Support and enhance a child's play development.
Utilize a specialized tool to determine play level and enhance play.
Monitor ongoing progress using the assessment tool.
To participate, you need to commit to approximately 10-12 hours of training. The study spans about 20 weeks, providing ample time for you to immerse yourself in the process. As a bonus, the study offers incentives at the end as a token of appreciation for your valuable contribution.
